When I first asked for your vote, I shared my beliefs and priorities. Here is some of what we’ve accomplished together — because the people of Rancho Mirage deserve a Council Member who delivers.
There is more to do — and with your vote, I will keep doing it.
KEEPING US SAFE
- Protected the Emergency Medical Services Insurance Billing Program, which spares residents 55 and older out-of-pocket costs for emergency paramedic and ambulance transport.
- Partnered with my Council colleagues and City staff to advance the Frank Sinatra Drive bridge — replacing the old low-water crossing with an all-weather bridge that keeps a vital route open for families and first responders, even during storms.
- Strengthened the City’s cyber protection with modern, zero-trust defenses — safeguarding our operations and your personal information at a time when local governments have become the number-one target for cyberattacks.
- Backed our City’s investment in smart public-safety technology — license-plate-recognition cameras, a Real-Time Crime Center, and a drone program — helping drive down property crime since 2021 while making every dollar go further.
FOSTERING MEASURED GROWTH & A STRONG ECONOMY
- Supported the in-progress $259 million Eisenhower Health “Passion for Excellence” expansion — including a new Cardiovascular Institute, the Saul and Joyce Brandman Memory Care Center, and the Eisenhower Child Care Center — at our City’s largest employer.
- Helped advance the City’s Economic Development Plan, to be released this fall — a thoughtful blueprint for measured, responsible growth.
- Joined our regional partners in the early investment in the new Cook Street substation, built with the Imperial Irrigation District (IID) — securing the power capacity our growing community will need, and building the foundation before the need arrives.
- Welcomed renewed investment along Highway 111 — including The Capital Grille rising on the long-vacant former Roy’s site and the revival of the iconic Lord Fletcher’s — strengthening our local economy and our Restaurant Row.
- Invested City reserves in lasting community assets — from park and roadway improvements to utility undergrounding, a seismic retrofit of Fire Station 50, and the Eisenhower workforce housing program — while maintaining strong prudent reserves.
DELIVERING TECHNOLOGY & INFRASTRUCTURE
- Worked with Mayor Pro Tem Michael O’Keefe to close the cellular coverage gaps too many residents have lived with — because reliable connection is a matter of safety and peace of mind.
- Continued our City’s commitment to undergrounding power lines and to the Rancho Mirage Energy Authority — for reliable, competitive, cleaner power.
- Backed our Turf Rebate and water-conservation programs, helping residents save real water in our desert home.
BALANCING HOUSING & HONORING OUR LEGACY
- Helped move workforce and senior housing forward on Rancho Mirage’s terms — as one of the first valley cities to earn State Housing Element certification, and by backing a more than $9 million investment in that Cook Street substation to unlock capacity for up to 636 new homes.
- Championed the update to our Historic Resources Survey, the first since 2003, to protect our midcentury architectural treasures.
- Brought the City of Rancho Mirage onto the Modernism Week stage for the first time, co-presenting a celebration of the design legacy that makes us who we are.
- Continue to uphold our voter-supported short-term-rental protections that keep neighborhoods quiet and residential.
