Fostering measured growth — a strong local economy, responsible fiscal management, and responsible development.

Rancho Mirage will continue to grow. The question is whether it grows on “our” terms — guided by our General Plan and true to our character — or on someone else’s. I believe in measured growth: welcoming the right opportunities while protecting the quality of life our residents cherish.

That means a strong local economy. I’m proud to support the growth of Eisenhower Health, our largest employer, whose expansion brings good jobs and world-class care to our doorstep — and to partner with our amazing Chamber of Commerce, the “boots on the ground” of our business community. Our nearly complete Economic Development Plan charts a thoughtful path forward, and as a Certified Municipal Clerk with eighteen years inside city government, I understand our budgets, our reserves, and our assessments — and the disciplined fiscal management that keeps our City strong. We have protected strong reserves — including a fully funded prudent reserve — and invested them wisely in the parks, roads, and facilities residents use every day.

A thriving economy is visible right here on our streets. I’m delighted to welcome an exciting new chapter for the places we gather: the acclaimed steakhouse The Capital Grille is bringing new life to the long-vacant former Roy’s site on Highway 111, and our beloved Lord Fletcher’s — a Rancho Mirage landmark since 1966 and the restaurant that gave our Restaurant Row its start — is being lovingly revived. We also look forward to welcoming Cotino Bay Beach, a new waterfront destination for dining, shopping, and recreation. Investment like this means good local jobs, vibrant gathering places, and a stronger tax base — and because our resorts and visitors are the City’s largest source of revenue, a thriving hospitality economy helps fund the services residents enjoy. That is the right kind of growth for Rancho Mirage.

I will hold every project to a simple test: does this protect what makes Rancho Mirage special? That is the standard I hold, and the standard I will keep.
